Solve for Legibly Interesting
In bios, public-facing description and presentation (branding/marketing)
Being overly legible can make you less interesting (awkward, forced, more telling than showing). (Depends on the domain, e.g. more true in art than in science)
There's a tension:
- Being overly legible can be useful and viable for communicating who you are and what you're about, but can make you less interesting.
- But if you're not legible at all, nobody will find you, see you, or be interested to know more about you or your work. (Only you can advocate for yourself)
To be legibly interesting:
- Show don't tell
- Figure out your objectives, design your presentation accordingly
- Communicate your own taste
